Meet Dr. Mahdavi
Dr. Mahdavi is a board-certified optometrist specializing in medical optometry and ocular surgery co-management. She works closely with ophthalmologists in the pre- and post-operative care of patients undergoing procedures such as cataract surgery, LASIK, PRK, and corneal transplant.
Dr. Mahdavi earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Irvine, and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Western University of Health Sciences. She is fluent in both English and Farsi, allowing her to effectively care for a diverse patient population.
In addition to her surgical co-management role, Dr. Mahdavi provides comprehensive eye examinations and is experienced in fitting a wide range of contact lenses, including soft lenses and rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses. She also specializes in advanced dry eye disease management, with experience in both medical and in-office procedural treatments such as meibomian gland expression and punctal plug insertion. She manages a variety of ocular conditions such as glaucoma and treats acute issues like red eye and ocular infections.
